-= Pete Replied to Sunny Leung about: Australian USR Courier x2 upgrades =-
G'day Sunny
SL> Having to send the modem to Victoria is a bit of a pain. I wish
SL> USR would subcontract somebody here in NSW to do the upgrades.
PC> There's no reason why anyone should be sending their modem
PC> anywhere, This sucks big time.
SL> You bet. The very reason for having a flash ROM is to avoid
SL> having to send the modem anywhere for firmware upgrades! If USR
SL> Australia insists on a return to base (in Melbourne) policy for
SL> the 56k upgrades, I might as well go and buy a Rockwell 56k
SL> modem.
Been tossing up whether to replace my old M11F on the mail computer
with a new shiny V34 job, Ones thing for sure it won't be an Austel
Courier.
Pete.
