As the M34F and KTX are both Rockwell-based, I can see no reason why they
shouldn't connect to each other, unless the lines are next to useless.

I found the standard &F defaults to be adequate here, with a DTE of
57600 and hardware flow control enabled, as usual.  Never saw better than
28800 with my KTX, even though my USRs almost always managed 33600bps
connects.

Looks perfectly OK to me, so my guess is that the phone lines themselves
are the cause of the problem.  Perhaps substituting another modem would
prove the point one way or the other...
