G'day Jason,
Our INTERNET access at work is via ISDN, I'm not sure but someone said
it's data rate is around 64k, I've transferred files at an average
speed of around 5k/second although that does fluctuate to as low as
1.2k/sec, depending on system usage.
JL> So mate tell me, are you a member of the Sydney PC User's Group ? is
JL> it good?
Yes, and have been for several years. I believe it's one of the best
around. Choice of 3 BBS from my area for the price of a local call. I
mainly use the PCUGMAIL BBS for FidoNet Echomail and current Shareware
programs. Other benefits are monthly meetings of Special Interest
Groups (SIG) in most areas of interest, great if you need to know
about setting up modems etc. (sponsored by Netcomm amongst others).
Cheers, Peter H.
