  Arthur,   I am suprised that the hydrostone filler did not stick to
itself. Try digging out the holes
a little with a sharp knife and cleaning the voids with solvent or alcohol
and try again.
If this is not sucessful buy some 15 minute epoxy and do the same , make
sure the holes are clean
and dry (use a hair dryer ) fill them up and scrape off the excess before
it cures all the way.
    Even if you have some larger voids , fear not. Remember that you will
need to scrub that tool
between grits with a new tooth brush for each grit. (at least thats the way
I do it) You can buy a
five pack of cheap tooth brushes at the dollar store...       Russ Jocoy
