You understand correctly, and it's not such a bad marketing decision when you think about it; having the (equal) fastest file transfer protocol, regardless of the type of physical phone line in use (i.e. POTS, ISDN, or whatever). Must be close to time to check Lucent's URL to see exactly where they're going, but unlike USR, they appear to have overcome _their_ tunnel vision syndrome...
