From: "Jonathan Bishop" To: Reply-To: "Jonathan Bishop" Hi, I am figuring an 8" F5.25 and not sure what to make of my test pictures. I have been polishing for 5+ hours (not yet fully polished) but want to start learning how to better test the mirror. I have uploaded some pictures (thanks for the useful advice on how to make these) of the mirror under test to http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/jonathanlbishop/lst?.dir=/Foucault. The surface looks pretty irregular to me, although I am guessing I have a turned down edge and a hill in the middle. All the pictures are from the same test, but I was having trouble holding the camera still (I see it will be a good idea to mount the camera on the knifed edge. I am using CO with micro facetting, but am planning to switch to red rouge when the mirror is full polished. I would appreciate anyones advice. Am I going really wrong here?
