BP> How can you tell if you have a T200 that causes line disruptions???

IS> Like some have said, regular disconnection is a pretty fair indication :)

BG> And generally always around the 12-14 minute mark.

Yep. One of mine struck nearer 15-17 minutes; +/- 10% components, maybe? :)

IS> Yes, but some of the earlier raised rubber button ones were
IS> crook, too.

BG> True, although I've personally never seen one.

I had two, first in '89 and then on the second line in '91. Neither
actually kicked the ol' Maestro ZXR of line, though the data took a big hit
for a few seconds. It ceased to matter in '91; the DPX596 uses Mode 3 line
switching.

BG> Yeah, I replaced my two early T200s with Alcatels a couple of
BG> summers ago, and just a couple of weeks later, was back at
BG> the TBO having those replaced as well (Brisbane's excessive
BG> humidity rapidly stuffed the hook switches in those).

Them's them .. an embarrassing and costly exercise for both T and A ..

IS> Plonk it on the desk of the local TBO ..

BG> I sincerely hope they make some attempt to fix all of their
BG> dodgy phones before they ship them off to the Philippines...

I guess, if they're still able to do it in the face of Bell et al ..

Cheers, Ian
