For Smartmodem 288 & Smartmodem 288D users, Netcomm have posted the rom
image on FTP.NETCOMM.COM.AU and Netcomm Online BBS for you to download and
apply to your modem free of charge. 

The main two features are :-

- The data speeds of 31200bps (31.2k) and 33600bps (33.6k) have been added.
  (connection at these two new speeds is dependant on line conditions).

- Distinctive ring has been added for compatibility with Telstra's FaxStream
  Duet service.
