Jon,
        If you can see a reflection from the surface of the blank back at the
location of the tester, you should have no problem imaging it. If you can
see it, the led is bright enough. The design for my tester is copied
straight from the stellafane site. www.stellafane.com and drill through to
the ATM section. You'll find the plans there ok. As to the led itself, I've
got no idea. I didn't build the beast, a friend of mine did that.
