Hardly ever in Auckland;  snow was seen on one of our old volcanic 
cones in 1947 !   We're in the sub-tropics here,  and everything 
is moist, green and hot - 10-28 degrees centigrade usually.

NZ is nearly 2000kms long, north to south, and the southern and 
mountainous bits get snow, glaciers and fiords.... up in Auckland 
you get sunburn and high humidity.
