Well it's been a record cold season here, one of my jobs is servicing oil
fired heating systems, people commonly tell me they haven't used their
heating units for the last few years. Last week we saw (here in Hamilton),
the largest dump of hail I have ever seen (the last 59 years).

The last few days have been perfect! my wife and I drove to the bottom of
the North Island to attend a funeral, to get there we need to pass the
central Volcanic Plateu (3 snow covered mountains rising above an elivated
plateu and the surrounding mountain ranges also showing a healthy covering
of the white stuff, the sky was cristal clear and warm sunshine topped it
off. It was beautiful!
