I tried using device=emm386.exe ram in the config.nt file, only to find out that under Win2k I need to use EMM = RAM instead. :) I did a mem /c before and after and didn't notice a change. Right now I have the main BBS thread starting on high priority at boot-up, and that helps quite a bit. You're using Renegade? I believe that's what I saw in your origin line...
