G'day All,

I have a problem executing text type programs in a full screen session
of cmd.exe. i.e. I type the text program command, cursor move to the
next line below the command prompt and the system halts with no error
codes. Cannot do ctrl-esc, alt-tab, ctrl-c or ctrl break to get out of
it, and back to PM.

Strange thing is though, when I run the same text program in a os/2
window it works OK.

I can start PM programs from both os2 fullscreen and windowed.

This was occurring with both the virgin copy of Merlin and with fixpak #1
applied.

System:
Main Board = PCI Pentium SI13
Chip Set = SIS 5571 Trinity
Memory = 32Mb EDO
Video =ET6000 with 2.25MB VRam and the latest OS/2 drivers installed. PM
       operating in 600X800.

BUT, another puzzling thing is I can run gcc OK. i.e. it compiles and
I'm back to the prompt. As above I'm unable to run the compiled program
in fullscreen, but windowed is OK.

Can anyone help, this is driving me crazy.
