While listening to Ronald Chesney Pete heard:Telix
G'day Ronald
JH> Hiya all :). I have a nettcomm roadster 28.8k modem and I have
JH> set i up with Windows 3.11 telix but it doesnt work.
RC> I have a netcomm 28.8 running under Windows 3.11 and Telix for
RC> Windows I have had the same problem but it seem to be the baud
RC> rate went you setup for a BBs I have had to change it a few
RC> times but mine works fine now.
RC> When I install telix auto detect, Detected a Zoom Modem 28.8.k
RC> and that is what I use string are AT&F^M~~ATZ0~~AT%C%E2^M
I'm not sure of the command set the roadster uses as i've only owned
Smartmodems but your string above seems strange, see my breakdown
below.
AT&F^M ; recall factory defaults
ATZ0 ; recall saved profile 0, note this distroys the settings
; that the AT&F line above setup.
AT%C ; turn off compression
AT%E2 ; enable speed stepping.
Why not try in a terminal just once...
AT&F ; recall factory defaults
AT&C1&D2&K3S0=0&W ; change a few settings and save to NVRAM
now just use ATZ when you want to reset the modem.
Pete.
