I also just read in another echo that Alan > (one of the people who was posting a lot) just got out of the hospital. > Maybe he'll come back soon. > > Dale Shipp > fido_261_1466 (at) comcast (dot) net > (1:261/1466) There is a good informative list that I could bridge one way from the Childhood diabetes association (aka Type I diabetes which you don't have to be a child to have)... it's mostly pure diabetes news that will apply to all diabetics... it's not a newsgroup nor is it a chat mailing list. However as this echo is listed as no gateways I can't gate this in. I would think that it would serve to foster a lot of GOOD conversation. I have been in the hospital... but not because of Diabetes or my Cancer. I had a staph infection in my Chemo port that was community acquired MRSA. It's a hard to kill bug that had me quite down and they had to surgically remove my chemo port. The good news is that I have completed my Chemo and it looks like I have beaten the cancer. The diabetes is well controlled with a 6.2 A1C. Just need to heal up the sore spot where the port was. I have been home two days and went out to lunch with mom... they gave us BOTH a senior citizen discount and at 37 years of age I did not feel very good about that. I am very interested in trying to revive this group and have many ideas... I just need some of the restrictions in place reviewed and possibly lifted. All of the newsgroup feeds are very clinical... I don't think we need that here. But I do think if there is good information posted here as discussion prompts we can move forward with this.
