| subject: | Should I buy Merlin? |
Hi all,
As a one time user of Warp 3, I have been thinking of getting Warp 4. Can
¨anyone help me out with a few questions please?
- Are the comms drivers fixed in v4?..Warp 3 needed the SIO drivers, which
I ¨think is a major oversight on IBM's part. If I can use my 28.8 I'll be
happy!
- I have a P133 with 32M Ram..will this allow reasonable use of Speech and
¨Dictation. I have read that the absolute minimum is a P100 with 16/32M.
- Are the Internet utilities much the same as in V3? I know Java is
supported ¨now, but again I read that it doesn't fully support some
features.
- Has the 'Connect to other Internet providers' option been updated?
- Also I am thinking of upgrading to a 3D video card..are they supported?
¨Also I use Caligari Truespace 2...has anyone tried it under V4?
I probably have more questions, but I would greatly appreciate any
help/info ¨before I lash out and buy Warp 4.
TIA
Ian
