well, i'm really just passing the info along but thanks for the
feedback...

well, hmmm, i think there are easier ways to get the info than hunting
it down...

KW>i'd like to see discussion here, i'd like to see people bring up
KW>topics that have their attention... for example, what do think about
KW>princeton researchers creating proof of concept viruses for
KW>electronic voting machines in order to demonstrate the risks the

KW>about a malware researcher trying to make 100% undetectable malware

HG> For my part I'm believing those ads. Nobody puts out any such ads for
HG> OS/2 or eCS but they seem to be immune as well.

ah well, if only that were true... both os2 and mac osx have documented
instances of malware...

now, eCS i'm unfamiliar with - it may in fact not have any documented
instances of malware yet... if it's a general purpose computing platform
of any kind then it's certainly capable of supporting malware in general
and viruses in particular, but less popular platforms get less attention
from the bad guys...

the reason i mentioned those particular topics is those are ones that
have captured my attention in the past and thus ones i have written
about (or are about to write about) on my av blog... i wonder if
reposting some of my blog material here would spark conversation...

HG> I and the users of this BBS will certainly read any input and maybe
HG> even some may take part in the discussions despite a language barrier.

well, just knowing there are still people out there reading these echoes
helps... thanks...
