It is a strange setup for sure.
I have my win xp as nat/router.
it has one nic that talks to my lan
another that talks to the modem.
and another connection that is "point-to-point protocol over eathernet"
that "dials out" to the isp for a inet connection.

So I think this new modem just traslates the 100mb ethernet to the 2 wire
phone line. :)
