Hello Frank!
Saturday November 14 1998 10:40, Frank McCormick wrote to Kees Bergwerf:
I tried this locally (just the way like Wave was fired up from Maximus):
wave\wave2 /d=c:\max\door.sys /n1
This was the error message I got:
!!! FATAL ERROR !!!
NODE1.CTL Not Found!
Please Run The Configuration Program
To Create A Control File For Node #1!
..and the next screen:
FATAL ERROR - NODE1.CTL NOT FOUND!
So that is why..
Why can the node1.ctl not be found ?
Why does wave not look in the directory where wave2.exe is located?
The first argument of the program is the exe itself:
main(char **argv, int argc)
{
.. argv[0] is in this case: c:\max\wave\wave2.exe
so it is easy to find the .CTL file; strip 'wave2.exe' and there you have
the path for node?.ctl (and for wave.ini)
There is also a lot of garbage at the end of wave.exe, perhaps you forgot
to cancel the debug-info ? It can reduce the size of the exe (about 80 kb
at least).
Another thing that happens: the CPU-load could not be higher :-(.
Kees
