It was a me thing where I stopped updating any of the echoes I moderate,
out of disgust for the way LaCosta treated people in a biased way. You'll
notice in his reply to you he claims that I never tell the truth. Far from
that accusation, I've never told a lie.

Yes.

It might. AFAIC, there is no need for an elist. At one time, there was a
need because of people who would go around hi-jacking echoes and then
kicking the moderator out, replacing him/her with themselves (I'm guilty
of that - AUTORACE). Those days are long over, as the hi-jackers have
taken leave of Fidonet. Then there are the echo collectors, who continue
to list dead echoes, including Thom. Notice the collection of Amateur
Radio related echoes he's made by elisting them as they expire. There are
only two AR dedicated echoes that are still alive and the HAM echo can be
used for discussing anything related to radio. At one time, there were
echoes for every aspect of AR, but there's no need for that today. Yet we
have a bunch of AR related echoes that are as good as dead with LaCosta
listed as the moderator of every one of them.

I tried that a few years ago, but there was a problem area pointed out by
Janis. How do you integrate both lists without having conflicts of
interest?
