A number of years ago, I formed one of the first POST_POLIO
public-access conferences on the International FIDONET Network.
It remained very popular, and helped a lot of folks since '91, but the
tremendous explosion of the Internet gradually drew more and more PPS
folks away from the slower FIDONET to the faster INTERNET, where it
thrives well..
IT has become painfully evident that we have fallen below the required
traffic-density required to remain on the FIDONET "Backbone", and we
will be removed shortly from the echo-listing.. ;-(
As a service to the FIDONET folks who have Internet access, we have
established a Moderated List-Server at "pps@pmihwy.com". This List is
a "controlled" list, in that rules are established, and WILL be
enforced. The List is meant to be an adjunct only to established
list(s) and not to supercede or replace any others. The List is
low-key, PPS-Centric, meant to be kept LIGHT and POSITIVE, and will be
KEPT that way!!  - Consider it a laid-back, light alternative. :-)
Humor, poetry, POSITIVE stories welcomed.. Negativities discouraged!!
You can get info or subscribe by sending a no-subject message to:
majordomo@pmihwy.com
and putting either "info pps" or "subscribe pps" or "help" (OR all
three on separate lines! ) in the BODY of the message (NO ""'s)
(The same process has happened to my CARDIAC FIDONET echo, and to
access the CARDIAC list, just do all of the above, with the word
"cardiac" replacing the "pps" in all of above text and commands! :-)
Both these lists (and my the_cape TV series list there) are all brand
new and just created Sunday.. Drop in and say hello.. :-))
