Thanks for the kind words (you've given me a warm fuzzy fealing now), but
most of what I've sent you has been learned from area's like this and
working in a computer retail outlet that sells (amazing as it seams) os/2.

Yes and no. On some machines/setup's I've seen it use a 2mb partition, and
on other's use one. My bm machine here, has the boot manager partition at
the start and is one mb in size.

If you install the bootmanager/os2 into a drive without LBA, then you'll
have to make shure that all bootable partitions are within the 512mb size
range. This is beacuse the bios can oly address 512mb at bootup. Os/2 does
away with the bios once booted.

The best was is to use LBA on the drive, and not have to worry about the
512mb limit at all...

One thing to rember (If i did't mention it) is that you should
partition/install the os's in this order.

a: os/2 (and boot manager)
b: win95

When you install 95 it will say that it's found a os/2 bootmanager
partition and will ask if you want to disable this. Say yes, so that 95 can
install it's files and reboot (it'll do this about 3 or 5 times. record
here has been 7). You will then need to boot to dos or os/2 (use the os2
install floppy's and when you get the chnace hit f3 to go to the comamnd
prompt. The run os/2's fdisk (or you can run true dos's [ie: MSdos V5]
fdisk) and make the os/2 bm partition the active one.

Next when you reboot, the bm choise's will be shown and you can choose what
operating system you wish to use...

On my machine here, I've choses to use the advanched time mode of the
bootmanager. My choice's are:

Dos C:
Win95 C:
OS/2 V4 (Default after 30 seconds)

If i don't make a choise with the arrow key's and hit enter (there is a bar
accross the names for the current os to choose) then os2 is booted be
default.

Stephen.
