Greetings, Brettlee!!
While you were muttering to Tom Mckeever, , you spake
thusly:
BB> It would be that one of my legs would buckle, and my body would swirl-
BB> and I'd be looking at a wall, a door, after my head rebounded. OUCH.
Interesting you mentioned that today.. :-)
I have been able to walk, although with less and less endurance, for
the last 4 or so years.. Have had the usual leg aches and spasms
occasionally, and difficulty coming from a "squat" to standing up
position more and more.. However, have not had a "fall" per se in many
years.. Today was different, though, and I wonder if it is typical of
the muscular degeneration others experience??
We have been plagued by racoons invading our screened porch (ripping
apart the screen to get to the Dog Dish) PLUS there are rabid ones
being found about 2 miles south of us. So, we got Animal Control to
loan us one of those "Havahart" traps.. However the little bandits are
able to escape regularly, so i modified the mechanism to make it lock
better when it is released.. Success! - One every night for last 3
nights. :-)
I went out to the trap this AM and crouched down under the Orange tree
to put extra wires on the door until Animal Control was to get here,
and accidentally let him/her out the other door, a-snappin' and
a-growlin'!! - I tried to run (not fast, but in opposite direction of
Mr./Ms. Coon ) back towards the house when i felt my upper body
passing my lower body, and i went flat down on my face in the grass.
(Mr./Ms. Coon had by now gone over the fence). I was able (weakly) to
pick myself up and walk very shakily (whole body) back to the house,
but have been "shaky/weak" all day and have had a mild, but quite
persistent, headache around the head since that fall. Even after
sleeping 2-3 hours this afternoon..
Thoughts, anyone??? :->
Take care!!
Tom..
