Probably my screw up, likely forgot to change the file name when I
Imported it. I have to edit all these files in to less than 150 line
blocks, some times fix margins ect so they will post on Fido..
This is the missing portion as near as I can determine.

So, we have Heston growing up as a boy in the 1930s using rifles
and shotguns to hunt for food for the dinner table.
Fast-forward 30 years to 1968, and Heston is stumping to add
rifles and shotguns to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
Fast-forward to 1997. Heston is now an "Honorary Life Member" of
the NRA (for what?), gets elected to the Board and then to the position
of
First V.P. in Seattle. *THAT SAME WEEKEND*, he gives a radio interview
on KGO and says that AK-47s are "inappropriate" for citizens to own. A
flunky's clarification letter to Bob Brown later states that Heston was
"only" talking about the full-auto variant (isn't a desire to ban guns a
desire to ban guns, no matter what kind is under discussion?).
Mr. Heston does *very* well for us when he reads from a script
(e.g., his speech at the National Press Club), but when he works off the
cuff, a different Charlton Heston appears (e.g., his *unprompted* AK-47
comment on KGO radio).
In this writer's opinion, Mr. Heston's failure to disclose any
of this past activity to the membership prior to running for the Board
and First Vice Presidency, and his continued failure to disclose it in
his current bid to become President, is totally unacceptable. A
"moderate" on an issue is wholly insufficient to be the head of an issue
advocacy group.
