In a message dated 03-21-97, Ian Smith said to Bill Garsden: IS>Does your mixer have options like 'inherit DOS settings' IS>and/or 'restore DOS settings on exit' or somesuch? If so, IS>turn these off, especially the latter. For my card (PAS16) IS>it's set in Control Panel / Drivers / (my mixer) / Setup. Couldn't find anything. Only the sb16 drivers. Only settings were for address etc. BG> Am I missing something? Do others find this? IS>Till I found out how to stop it, yes :) I also IS>occasionally use a one-button zapper icon set up for my IS>OS/2 mixer (MiniMix in this case) which restores my IS>standard OS/2 settings, should they get mucked around by IS>something else. Thanks for that tip. I found an sb os/2 mixer sdsbpmix.exe which, when loaded, appears to return the setting to default, or a 'saved' version. I say 'appears' because I have no way of actually measuring that except for apparent sound volume. But, that is still a work around. I'd still like to find out why winos2 goes high volume on exit. There are quite a few settings in system.ini that I might fiddle with. I will let you know if anything works. Thanks for your reply.
