HL>> I remember as a kid, that there used to be a school parade HL>> for St Georges Day. We all had Union Jack flags to wave and HL>> we all had to sing the song of the Union Jack. HL>> I didn't know what Union Jack was, so I called it Onion HL>> Jack. MM> 23rd April, for St George and Merry England ... will future MM> generations of Kiwis gather in the play ground for the Day of MM> Civil Thingy, sing a song of union and burn effigies of MM> horrid `parents', I wonder... They celebrate Guy Fawkes... BTW, I got a biiiig surprise at work. I was told that there was going to be an afternoon tea break in my office, paid by the big boss and it was for Intel, for their hard work. The boss came in. He had a huge box of Roses chocolates in his hand, and a large cheesecake. I looked up but thought nothing of it. As soon as everyone had gathered in the office, he said he wanted to talk to me. There and then he told me that the box of chocolates was for me! Seemingly whenever he mentioned 'Waitakere Police' at the other stations around the country, the other bosses there immediately mentioned my name in connection with my Intel work. Saying about my high standards in accuracy and high production rate. Looks like I'm the number 1 computer operator in the country for the cops. Then the boss gave me the chocolates and cut the cheese cake. He told me also that the entire teabreak food was on behalf of me. And everyone clapped me. I told one of my workmates, that that was the first time I got the clap. LOL! Needless to say I was totally gobsmacked... Nay!!!!... absolutely mortified. I hid behind my PC. - From the insane desk of Supernerd - Always cross a vampire, but never moon a werewolf. / Taglines by Taglinator - www.srtware.com / ---* Origin: The Rock BBS - Where sanity is an option.
