Nope, it doesn't have anything to do with that. In fact, on page 2 of
their manual it states "please contact us for special multiple user and
multiple machine licensing agreements.
They also make a big deal about destroying the original disk and
orignal packaging and that if you don't agree to their licensing terms
you must return the package unregistered.
They say that the license can only be used by a single user on multiple
machines or a single machine, or by multiple users on a single machine.
In fact, they claim that they retain ownership to the package, disk,
software, and documentation and that you are only buying the licensing
agreement.
I'm not a lawyer, but according to my reading of their agreement, it is
impossible to sell the original disk, package, and manual to anyone else
except to he who originally "licensed" it.
I might be wrong, but that's what it looks like they're doing with their
carefully constructed licensing agreement (seems designed to cover alot
of loop holes).
The bottom line is that I just think it's weird and that if you buy
new or used software at a retail store, like I did, you should be able
to legally use it.
