There are several such, actually. There are books designed to be used as
collector/price guides, and several of the gun magazines publish annuals
which include all current models.
If you just want new handgun models, Peterson's Handguns Annual or the
Handgunning Annual or the American Handgunner Annual all have those, and
many places would have those annuals during the spring of any given year.
There are also annuals that would include rifles and shotguns, like the
Guns&Ammo annual out in the fall of each year.
There are many in the collector/price guide category, which might be
found in the "Collecting" or "Sports" section of your local bookstore.
One is simply Gun Digest, another is Modern Gun Values, and so forth. My
reference is called the Standard Catalog of Firearms. Naturally, you'd
want the most recent edition of whichever you get. (Gun Digest is not so
much a catalog/price guide, but about half of the book would be devoted
to current guns and prices. The others include both new and used guns.)
Yes, even your local Cole's should have several of those. If not, make a
trip to Toronto to "The World's Biggest Book Store", or to somewhere in
Buffalo. (Yes, I've spent several years in Canada, and I know the Cole's
in Windsor had some of those books.)
What I'd love to see, which I haven't even here, is a book which included
performance data for all models.
