KV> Have you ever watched Bruce Lee fight? He can pull off
KV> some awesome combos.
KV> The reasons the fighting games are intensified is that
KV> most of the characters
KV> are super not the ordinary fighting experts with special powers etc..
Have you ever realized that it probably took multiple tries to get a scene
in a Bruce Lee movie the way it appears? He may have been good, but not as
good as you think.
The main appeal of the Virtua Fighter characters is that they are powerful
- in a fairly realistic way. They're not magicians, they're combatants.
KV> Actually yes. I played the Virtual Fighter series on
KV> numerous occasions. I
KV> used to waste about a dollar to a dollar an fifty cents
KV> on the games. They are
KV> not challenging at all. I beat Virtual Fighter 3 the
KV> first time I played with
KV> the ninja guy. Virtual Fighter 1&2 took a dollar each
KV> to beat.
But this IS against the CPU, who is typically easy in the VF series
anyways. Have you fought another player? Certainly a different (and more
difficult) experience.
KV> I've played
KV> Bushido Blade and a similar game Soul Blade which think are two
excellent
KV> fighting games. I have tried the setting the arena to
KV> the smallest possible.
KV> It can be easy at times to beat the opponent.
Those are certainly deserving of merit, but then they're also weapons-based
fighters (which can make matches quite short). Bushido Blade matches can end
in as little as a few seconds (less than 10) if you're good enough!
