KV> Expertise? Sega arcade games are so poorly made. They

Yes, we know your rather poor taste in gaming. I wonder... did you
actually play any of these games for MORE than two minutes before giving up
because of weak resistance in the trigger or a slightly uncomfortable seat?
Trust me, your view is most certainly in the minority, and not terribly valid
(especially because of your preponderance towards the word "suck").
KV> You must not have good reaction skills. What's wrong

The problem with working towards the "mega-super-specail" move is that
you're not learning to FIGHT - you're learning to pull off a special move.
My reaction skills are just fine, thanks!
And personally, I find it more satisfying to successfully counter an
opponent's fighting style than punching a button combination my opponent has
little opportunity to react to.
KV> Killer Instinct did suck. The whole game was combos.
KV> Nothing really to be
KV> wild about. All you had to do was pound on all the

KV> 3D. The only fighting games I believe are worthy of

KV> 3, X-men Vs Streetfighter, and Streetfighter EX Plus.
At least we agree about a couple of things (KI and the Tekken series).
Personally, when I saw Tekken 3 at the arcade, I couldn't believe my eyes.
Not only are the moves extremely fluid, they're very unique for each
character and (from what I've gathered) force you to adapt to their style.
But personally, I have a love/hate relationship with the Capcom games.
Yes, they're fast & furious, but A) they've forgotten the meaning of the word
"Fighter" in the title, and B) most of them are just slight variations on
each other. Even the 3D games don't really take advantage of the new axis of
movement - even in Virtua Fighter 1 & 2, there was some degree of purpose in
being 3D.
KV> I'd rather hold back to block instead of having to
KV> press a button. I find it
KV> quite cumbersome. Like the tekken trilogy. It's
KV> great, all you gotta do is
KV> hold back and you can preform a counter attack with the punch and kick
KV> buttons.
I don't find the block button cumbersome (is that why you don't like the
Virtua Fighter series?) - but then, I rely more on my offense than my
fense.
