RF> Call me a heretic, but I didn't really like the PC demo of Resident
RF> Evil. What's so great about the game, anyway? The interface could
RF> really stand some enhancement (no matter what controller you use),
RF> and the story and dialogue! I know some people like it as camp,
RF> but it's just intolerable - the dialogue wasn't even funny most of
RF> the time (although I did like "NO! Don't open THAT DOOR!" ). RE's
RF> worst crime: it's not original in the least. Some console gamers
RF> say it is...but to paraphrase David Spade: "I liked it the first
RF> time...when it was called Alone in the Dark!" AITD was released
RF> in *'90 or '91*, for the PC. And it had a much better plotline.
First of all, Resident Evil came out in early '96 and it was the best
game of the year. Not it's getting old. But the plot is really well done.
You'll never see a plot like that on N64. Most of the dialogue wasn't
supposed to be funny, just bad acting. Resident Evil is similar to Alone in
the Dark beacuse of the camera angles. Resident Evil is original because it
was ment to scare. No other game has done that except Tomb Raider 2. I
never played Alone in the Dark, so I can't realy say much about the plot.
