Snap !  the 3/4's here is perched on top of Mairangi Bay, and I 
cut its lawn with a Flymow on a rope  ...  when the rain allows !

Well, yesterday's lot was as forecast - and I think this morning's 
predicted rain, hail and thunder is just beginning to arrive !

We run a cycle race around North Harbour Stadium every Tuesday 
night 5.30 to 8.00pm on the private ring road.  The forecast was 
for heavy rain in the morning, showers midday giving way to fine 
intervals - and back to rain in the late evening.

Sent out an email to Club members saying we'd arranged for the 
course to be hosed down, air-blasted and dried for the evening 
races.  To the 10 worried enquiries during the morning rain, we 
said we'd race unless snow blocked the road...

And to my total joy,  we raced on dry roads in sunshine - they got 
it dead right for once.

And they say weather forecasters were invented to make economists 
look good !   Mind you, t'Ancient Britons were fond of saying "One 
swallow a summer does not make"...

And a wet Xmas Day won't stop me swallowing at all, at all...
