GB> EP> Explosives are outside my definition of "arms" protected
GB> EP> by the Second Amendment. Ernie P.
GB> GB> What other 'arms' are also outside your definition, Ernie? What is
GB> GB> your stand on high capacity magazine loaded
GB> GB> firearms such as M16/AR15
GB> GB> and other varients of military patterned firearms? Are they, or are
GB> GB> they not, protected by the Second Amendment?
GB> SG> Oh, we've had this discussion dozens of times, even before Ernie
GB> SG> became a Director. He is pretty moderate, but he is certainly opposed
GB> SG> to the "assault weapons" ban(s).
GB> He IS? Then let him stand up and SAY so.
Greer, I've repeatedly made exactly that statement; both in
widely-distributed print and public statements; as long as ten
years ago. Are we getting to the (rediculous) point that
everyone will be required to begin all public comment with a
complete history of pro-Second Amendment activity and position?
FWIW, my pro-gun activities occupy at least three hours of
activity a day; and cost me at least $500.00 per month. I'm
President of the Virginia "state" rifle association (VSSA); I'm
on the BOD of NRA; on the BOD of the local Izaak Walton League,
and their Legislative Affairs Director; Legislative Affairs
Director of The Fairfax Rod & Gun Club; I'm an active
instructor in a number of different disciplines; founder of a
local junior rifle team; and I'm a firing member of the Virginia
State Rifle Team, having won medals at the National
Championships with *exactly* those rifles to which you refer.
Within the past week, I have organized opposition and offered
public testimony in three separate counties, opposing
gun-control measures.
I'd say my positions are pretty well documented; and I've earned
my credentials fairly; through hard and extended work. Ernie P.
