hi.. there's not much you can do about this one... just grin and bear it...
forsing a lower initial connect attempt speed with AT+MS command may help
on numbers often known to fail or fai lto connect at top speed.

if you can edit initstrings - just put the right S95 setting there, or if
minicom is overriding them, try putting s95 into the dial string..ie
ats95=45dt ... ? Dunno, don' use minicom or linux.
