I'm sure that there are people who don't really care for the "new
way."  But
you're right - the BBS scene is evolving.

First it was slow, single-line systems.  Then, the chat boards showed up.
Now it's just a different type of connection.

The coolest part is how bbses can now interocmmunicate with ease.  The future
of inter-system gaming is going to be really cool and I think those that will
get those most enjoyment out of the hobby will be the ones that take
advantage of what TCP/IP can do for the BBS.

Unfortunately, by the time that happens, we'll have IP6 and a whole different
protocol for sending data across distributed networks :)
