My bad, you said:
DN> worst ever. Their record, for starters wasn't nearly as bad. This
DN> current team has no talent whatsoever, outside of Antoine Walker.
Ok, so you didn't Wesley was their only talent; you said that about Walker.
DN> I already discussed Walker earlier.. as I recall, I said Walker was
DN> their only possible future star..
You said that he was their only TALENT.
DN> night when he's on his game, but is known to be injury-prone (don't get

Don't be so defensive. I happened to mention it so I obviously see that fact.
Radja hasn't played a "full" season since he was a rookie and he should be
seen as a player that should come off the bench to minimize his effect.
Still, when he's healthy, he's a damn good player.
DN> Yes he is. Where the hell has he been all season??
Obviously, you're not watching. 15.8 points per game, 3.8 assists, 5.2
rebounds and 2nd on the team in 3-point pct behind the injured Barros.
DN> This is irrelevant to our discussion. The topic is, is this the worst
DN> Celtics team of all time?
Ok, then let's look at that - AS I HAVE BEEN DOING. The WORST was the bunch
that started the 78-79 season. They had *some* talent like Cowens, Ford and
Maxwell but they also had players that couldn't give a rat's butt about
anything except collecting a paycheck. The team that FINISHED that season was
different. They didn't have the excuse that 4 players were put out for the
season with injuries like this bunch. They weren't integrating a young bunch
into their team, they were playing bad players, old players and players with
bad attitudes. Their 2-12 start was a portent of things to come and
management did what it could to make sure that Bird had a better cast to work
with by the end of the season (Starting with the early acquisition of Ford
and then the additions of Stacom, McAdoo and Robey). Without the shakeup,
that team is even worse than this one and without all those injuries, this
team is a 30+ game winner. This is a far more solid team to build on than the
one that started or even finished the 78-79 season.
DN> Bout 30 games out right now.. seems fairly far to me.
The team is capable of winning 30 games like they did last year but the
injuries have taken their toll.
DN> up their scoring, which is in the top 6 or 7 in the league, amazingly.
DN> But they keep finding ways to lose.
Their style of play makes it easier on their opponents. If they were a slow
down bunch like Vancouver, they'd be giving up as fewer points than the
Grizzlies but they're trying to play "Celtics" basketball on offense. If and
when they get the final pieces of their puzzle, they don't have to worry
about having the kind of players that they NEED to play that style, they've
already got them.
DN> situation. The Grizz are probably the worst team of all time.
No, the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers had the worst teams of all
time. If this were the Grizzlies 9th or 10th season, I might agree that they
were one of the worst but they not even that bad for a second year expansion
team.
