well, IIRC, the filename being looked for is MSGTMP and it should reside in
the current directory when the editor it fired up... in other words, don't
run the editor from a .BAT file that changes directories before it fires up
the editor... the BBS should create MSGTMP in the node's directory or in
the main BBS directory if you are running a single node setup... then the
editor should just be fired up and it should be able to locate MSGTMP... it
may be possible that it is looking for a config file or possibly an
associated support file but without knowing more, that's a pure guess...

i'm pretty sure he left fido years ago... i don't know of any contact
method for him, sorry...
