Here's a few updates, I managed to compile it and am using it currently (As you will
see with the tear line of this message).
Ernest, you stated there's a problem with FIXDATES. What exactly is the
problem as I don't
see it on my end so I'm having trouble replicating it.
Regarding long messages, I'm going to make them truncate as best I can for
now. Hopefully,
I'll be able to make it process long messages without a problem. The code
is very Borland C++
and DOS-OS/2 specific so transitioning it to be more platform-independent
is going to take
some time. Yes, I've had plenty of time, I'm aware of this. I've also had
many concerns to
deal with on my end.
I've built only a DOS version as I do not have a copy of BC++ for OS/2.
Eventually I'll have
it modified enough to build with either OpenWatcom or GCC. With any luck,
any fixes and updates
will be available for an OS/2 version as well.
Are there any other bugs or fixes that I need to address in this upcoming
set? Currently, I am
only aware of the large messages and Ernest's problem with FIXDATES.
You can send netmail to me at 1:18/200.10 or if you wish to use email, I
have a specific
e-mail address setup at: amail_at_crealms.dtdns.net
(replace _at_ with {at} in that line)
Sincerely,
Mike Dillon
P.S. If anyone knows of a Fidonet style (*.MSG) web-based interface for PHP
I'd like to know,
I'm using an odd mixture of Msged/Linux, DOSEMU+Alexi/Mail, and binkd for
these messages.
