RECONSIDERATION OF GUN BAN STILL PENDING:  AB 23, Assemblyman 
Don Perata's bill seeking to replace California's current
semi-automatic gun ban with a new, more restrictive ban, is still
awaiting a reconsideration vote in the Assembly.  Keep up the
calls to your Assembly Members at (916) 445-3614, encouraging
their "NO" vote on AB 23!  
OTHER LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITY: On Tuesday, April 28, the Senate
Appropriations Committee is set to hear SB 1500 (Polanco), a bill
seeking to ban affordable handguns.   The committee will also
consider SB 1550 (Hayden), which contains provisions relating to
trigger-locks, on Tuesday.  We'll keep you posted.
