Good point ld, I didn't even think about the shooter using a different hold
than I use. My hold was drilled into me by a great instructor and I'd
forgotten that not everyone gets the same training. I also hope my post
didn't sound like I was telling him to cut the stock since my point with the
weights was mostly meant as something that can be undone with no damage.
Thanks for making it clear about not making permanent alterations  until
it's a last resort.
