killer" bullets was in the works.
     -- Children in a California schoolyard gunned down with an
AK-47S just as an "assault weapon" ban topped the anti-gunners'
agenda, and a series of copycat killings at just the right time
to spur that legislation.
     What all those horrors had in common was that the news
media, in an all-out blitz to promote the latest fad in gun
control laws, had been trumpeting each of those items as "the
weapon of choice." 
     The deranged, and evil, were guided in their choices by the
media, and were propelled into action by the immense coverage --
and chance for notoriety -- given the last tragedy.
     Would the Killeen massacre have occurred without Stockton and
the Louisville printing plant murders?  Probably not.
     Would Jonesboro have occurred without the unrelenting media
fascination with Pearl High School and West Paducah?  Again,
probably not.
     The news media, television and the movies plant ideas in the
heads of the morally deficient, then sell even more product the
next time it occurs.
     Conspiracy? No.  Coincidence? No.  Evil?  Yes.
