Hello Tom, I tried to send you this message earlier, but looks like it
never made it to the backbone; or you may not have had time to reply
yet. Either way, I'm still not completely sure what I'm doing with the
computer sometimes......... Ld Walker

Hi, Tom, sounds like you are still plenty busy, just read your post
about the new release enabling access to the BBS over the I'Net.
I'm not sure I understand it exactly, but will watch for a short
explanation if you could.
I have intended to ask for some time now if any of the Polio Survivors
have had a problem with extreme sensitivity to scented products. My
reaction to scented products is very severe; I no longer go to the
movies, seldom enjoy eating out (perfume), can hardly make it through a
short session of shopping in a mall ar the grocery store, etc. The
symptoms from exposure to the scents are so severe, they are just short
of disabling. My face burns, my lips feel as if they are coated with
oil, I itch under the skin, my eyes burn and if the exposure is for more
than a minute or two, I have difficulty breathing, and get a severe
headache.
The reactions to scents is far more difficult for me to deal with than
the fatigue of PPS. At least with PPS I can rest and feel near normal a
lot of the time. Just a few seconds exposure to most scented products
creates symptoms that take two to three hours to wear off.
Anyone else having this problem; wonder if it is related to the nerve
damage done by Polio?
Tom, do you know of a list on the I'Net discussing this type of problem?
Thanks for any info, LD
