Why is the keyword "virtual" a necessity? It seems to me that C++ programs operate correctly without it (or maybe I just haven't been bitten by the beast yet). The only place I routinely use the keyword "virtual" is in the header of destructors. In shops where I've worked I have never seen "virtual" used at all. Just wondering... what can't I do by not using "virtual"? I can see the reasoning for "pure virtual", but "virtual"? þ CMPQwk 1.42 999 --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: COMM Port OS/2 juge.com 204.89.247.1 (281) 980-9671 (1:106/2000) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 106/2000 633/267 |
