You know, I run a mail list at yahoogroups with 2000+ people, and I'm
always harping on them to provide relevant information (product version, db
version, o/s version, printer model, etc.) when they submit requests. This
is really embarrassing.... ;/

TSEPro3.0c is the version

List() and LList() look interesting. Their syntax is listed as "INTEGER",
so I expect they return a number. I would expect to return 0, and
to return the current line number within the list. Does that sound
right?

It looks like I'll also have to learn more about buffers, if I want to go
this route.

As my pick lists are short and rather static, I'm wondering if menu() might
work. Each item on the menu would call the same procedure with a different
parameter, that procedure would update a global variable, and then my
primary procedure could place that data where I want it to go on the line.

Any additional thoughts?

TIA.

Tom Martin

P.S. I'm only going on a "binge" here, I promise to not be asking these
newbie questions for too long! (can't just have fun with SAL, have to do
some real work, too.) :)
