New developments in the medical professional are very promising. Recently,
there have been articles related to new approaches to helping young people
(and adults) with attention deficit disorders (rather than "Ritalin").
The FDA has recently approved new treatment that may help people with
Altzheimer's, Multiple-Schlerosis, PMS.
A new treatment for seizure-disorders may help, where others have been
unsuccessful.
In early October, the FDA approved a medicine for BPH - a prostate disorder:
although used in Europe for some time, it will likely be several years before
it is known how well it works and added precautions, etc.
All these developments at a time budgets signed into law may force cutbacks
in researchers and staff at the FDA, NIH and Centers for Disease
Control...hopefully, funds from private sources will keep us on the
'fast-track' in studying and approving new drugs.
