DB> GS>> Guns are for those too week to swing swords! DB> TS> Swords are fine until you find out you have to clean up DB> TS> your own messes. DB>The first guy was right. At my age, I don't plan to bring any knives to a ki DB>knife fight. Not when I can win from well outside knife range. :) I'm sitting here admiring my Colt New Service. This old .45 was made in 1906, and had the traditional knife-edge front sight and teeny little rear notch. It shot a foot high and to the left. Since it had been re-blued (and most of the markings polished out), I had no qualms about silver-soldering a 1/8" slab of steel on as a front sight, and opening up the rear notch (which allowed me to adjust windage as well as elevation.) I worked up a load with H4227 that drives my 255-grain cast bullets about 1,000 fps. Bring on the knives and swords! :-) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
