I seem to remember different shapes being associated with different calibers at different ranges, but it's been a while since I saw that article. RJT>I sometimes wonder about the mindset of people who use those RJT>things. RJT>Watching those folks was downright scary! Some kinda state workers. VH> Everyone was a beginner once -- why not take them under your wing VH> and give them a little coaching? What was scary was that they thought they already knew enough about what they were doing... :-0 I heard mention tonight about state workers and besides law enforcement (which these people weren't) they mentioned "domestic relations" workers, which I'm thinking is probably what these people were. I did get out to the range today, anyhow. After *way* too long. And I managed to make some holes in some paper, along with making a bunch of holes in those small aluminimum pie plates. And blew one of them clean off the boards. :-) I'd forgotten what a wonderful smell that powder burning was... Oh, and there were all these necked-down rimfire brass cases all over the place. *LOTS* of it. And, remember when I was wondering what that stuff was good for, what was it, .177 or something? Well, I got my answer today-- the target boards had a whole *mess* of popped baloonns up there. I guess now I know what they're good for. :-) ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
