It's not just the media.

I read a piece in /American/ /Rifleman/ that Senator Lautemberg (D-NJ; of
course) tried to get the Congressional Research Service to back his his
claims involving gun availability and terrorism.  They didn't, but that
didn't stop him from saying so.

Isn't lying while in Congress grounds for expulsion?  They did it once or
twice recently.
