Hi Tammy:
With parkinsons disease-it is characterized as involuntary tremolous motion
with lessened motor power, in parts not in action and even when supported
with a propensity to bend the trunk forwards and to pass from a walking to a
running pace, the senses and intellect being unimpaired.
It is often seen in persons in their 50's and 60's. Other symptoms include:
increasing rigidity/tremor, immobility of facial expression (lion's face),
slowness of movements and diminished swinging of the arms and heaviness in
the limbs when walking. They have a tendency to break into a run or trot.
They may have difficulty in getting up in the chair, turning is difficult,
fine movements such as buttoning a coat, brushing hair may be
difficult.----Chusid, J.G. Correlative Nueroanatomy and Functional

Good luck and take care.
