Is there any chance trhat your HOYT's may have originated in Norwalk CT?
One of my ancestors, George ABBOTT married Mary WEED, and some of their
children or granchildren married into the HOYT family of NORWALK.  This
would have occurred in the late 1600's to early 1700's.  If we can
connect, I can proably give you lots of info that you may not have.
